What beautiful purple yarn!! I knit a shawl that is similar called the Changing Staircases shawl by Trysten Molina of Dragon Hoard Designs. Love the jagged edges. Wish I could have a dog but alas my apt complex doesn't allow dogs.
I have cat needle stoppers. Have mostly been cross stitching, need to knit a red hat, get the eldest & her two small boys moved and and ….. dealing with chemo is never fun, taking a deep breath can be exhausting. Finding a small moment of joy really helps. And it might just be a lap full of loving pet.
I remember once many years ago when we were experiencing some really awful things with Bill’s family. His father put us through some really horrible times. One night at dinner, Bill, I and the boys were sitting around telling jokes and laughing. I thought to myself, “Bottle this moment up and when the bad things happen, bring it out.” It really did help. Bill and I had no control over his father, but we could remember how functional our little nuclear family was and how much we loved and enjoyed each other. Our version of Corgi needle stoppers! Loving too that you have your knitting to keep your hands busy, even when you mind can’t quite engage.
Awwwww! Cute. 👍
Love your post and I love yoga too
That color is so nice
Those corgi point protectors! ❤️
The yarns are lovely, and so are the point protectors!
Aren’t they cute?!

Ooh. I like the Staircases pattern!
I made it as a gift for my son's mother in law. It turned out really pretty and was an easy knit. :)

It is exhausting. I have a new appreciation for what patients and their caregivers go through.
The lovely purple yarn is now calling my name!
It is my year to figure out brioche. I’ve become a bit obsessed with it and have several projects planned.
Hank is a lovely potato.
I’ve never done brioche. My brain probably doesn’t have the bandwidth right now to manage that, but hopefully soon.
It’s lots of fun if you don’t mess it up, but much more of a challenge to fix!

That gratitude thing really is important in developing resilience. We have an awful lot to be grateful for.
I need to know why you are reading all those books at the same time!
Stay tuned!
